SCHEDULE
SATURDAY
Recreate a Date
If you arrive Friday, take the morning to recreate one of our dates (suggestions below) and explore the mountains! We will likely be busy welcoming people and coordinating.
Elk Ave Social Hour
We will be on Elk Ave around 4 pm to join those who are in town for drinks and snacks. We will text everyone letting them know where we are!
SUNDAY
10 am Taylor River Group Whitewater Trip
We would love if everyone could joing us for a whitewater adventure on the Taylor - in costume!
5 pm Welcome Dinner
We will have our welcome dinner at Zuni St Brewing in Crested Butte South. We will have the place to ourselves, and there will be food trucks and the best beer around!
MONDAY
AM Recreate a Date!
We will let people know the ways they can help with the preparation of the day, but we would love if you take time to enjoy Crested Butte and join us for the wedding in the afternoon.
4 pm WEDDING!
We will start the ceremony at 4 pm at a venue that is 6 minutes from downtown Crested Butte and 25 minutes from Gunnison.
TRAVEL
We understand people will need to take a few days off work to be here, and we are so grateful for prioritizing this celebration! If you are able to come in on Friday and leave Tuesday, Crested Butte is one of Colorado's top destinations with so many places to explore and play!
To Gunnison
To Denver
The Gunnison airport is about 30 minutes from Crested Butte and only 5 minutes from Gunnison. We recommend flying into Gunnison for convienience and ease.
Please note only AA and United fly to GUC and connect through Denver or Houston.
Flights are less expensive to Denver, but it is a 4-hour drive to Gunnison. However, the drive is beautiful through mountain ranges and by rivers! If you can carpool with people, this will make for a more cost friendly option.
Altitude
Rental Cars
The Gunnison airport is about 30 minutes from Crested Butte and only 5 minutes from Gunnison. There are rental cars available at the airport.
We do have the RTA bus that runs from Gunnison up to Crested Butte every 15 minutes, but there is no stop close to the venue.
Please note we do not have Uber, Lyft, or Turo!
Crested Butte is at 9,000 feet above sea level! Please be aware with alcohol that 1 drink is more like 2 and every step will feel like 3! We recommend:
-Start drinking extra water 5 days prior to travel
-HYDRATE and ELECTROLYTE!
-High Altitude Relief from Amazon
In Gunnison
Gunnison is more economical than Crested Butte. However, it is about a 30 minute drive to any of the weekend's activities. You can also find a more rustic, cabin vibe staying in Almont just north of Gunnison.
Make sure you google map distances when choosing where you stay to build in driving time.
Gas is definitely less expensive in Gunni!
In Crested Butte
STAY
Crested Butte is a bit more expensive but will give you the full Colorado mountain experience! We recommend booking ASAP, as June and July are high season for tourists. There are fewer hotels in CB, so check Airbnb and VRBO! You can search anywhere in these areas:

Outdoor Brews
We love great beer, mead, rum, and champagne! Even more when it is at a local brewery or out in the mountains. But again, remember altitude makes every drink twice as strong!

Picnic
We prefer our dinner table to be made of rocks and tree stumps. Grab snacks from Clark's Market or City Market and go for a drive!

RECREATE A DATE
We have been fortunate enough to explore, play, and fall in love with each other in this place. We know you will have some free time while we are preparing, so we wanted to give you some options for experienfing a bit of our story. Connect with some people you might not know yet who are also coming to the wedding and go on an adventure! We have included all of our adventure locations in the Treasure Map below!
Hike
These mountains are our playground and were we go when we need to reset and reconnect and play! While we wish we could send you to all our favorite spots, we have picked some that are accessible and short, giving you a taste of this place.

Cold Plunge
One of our favorite activities is jumping in snowmelt rivers for a plunge! Even if you don't go all the way in, we recommend dipping your feet in and feeling the chill to your bones!

3 Rivers Resort in Almont, CO

The trip starts at 10 am and ends at 1pm
This is a 2-2.5 hour whitewater trip down the upper Taylor river. There are some class 3 rapids, but there are no big water rapids. It is appropriate for all ages, but do know you will need to paddle and you will get wet!
We also would love if people dressed in costume - especially any pirate garb! We will also bring a box of costume items for people to use. The more glitter the better!

We have decided to keep our wedding small and intimate, and we only invited those who have been incredibly important in our lives and will continue to be for the many years to come. We are grateful for your support, friendship, love, and impact in our lives as individuals and as a couple.
We will be having an outdoor wedding at the base of the majestic Whetsone Mountain. You can find more about dress recommendations, parking, and details in the FAQs.
